Valorant Mobile is officially available only in China, where it launched on iOS and Android on August 19, 2025. As of September 29, 2026, there is no release date for Europe, North America or any other region – no beta and no official pre-registration either. The Chinese version is made by LightSpeed Studios (Tencent) in partnership with Riot, is playable only in Chinese and has no crossplay with PC. Stay away from so-called “global APKs” – they’re fake.
The short version: yes, Valorant Mobile exists – just not for most of the world. Since August 19, 2025, the mobile version of Valorant has been live in China on iPhone and Android. Its official Chinese title is 《无畏契约：源能行动》, where “无畏契约” is the name Valorant already goes by in China. The game is developed by LightSpeed Studios, a Tencent studio, in partnership with Riot Games, and Tencent also publishes it in China.
If you search for “Valorant Mobile” in the Google Play Store or the App Store in the US, the UK or Europe, you won’t find it. That’s not a glitch in your store – the game has simply never been released outside China. The current Chinese build is version 1.25.0, which arrived with an update on September 22, 2026. It’s free to play with in-app purchases, rated 16+ in China and only available in Simplified Chinese.
The phone check above shows the current status at a glance and lets you test whether your phone would meet the published requirements. That’s handy if you’re about to buy a new phone and want to be ready in case a global launch is ever announced.
This mix-up comes up in forums all the time. The app stores outside China do list an app called “Riot Mobile.” That’s Riot Games’ official companion app for your friends list, chat and news around Valorant and League of Legends. You can’t play any matches in it. So when someone tells you Valorant is “already on the App Store,” they almost always mean the companion app.
Here’s the honest answer to the most asked Valorant Mobile question: nobody outside Riot and Tencent knows. As of September 29, 2026, there is no official announcement of a launch in Europe, the US or any other market outside China. There’s no open beta in the West and no official pre-registration page. Any video on TikTok or YouTube that gives you a specific date is speculation.
What Riot actually said: when it was announced on April 21, 2025, that the mobile version would launch in China first, Valorant lead Anna Donlon explained, in essence, that China has one of the largest and most competitive mobile shooter communities in the world. That’s why the team wanted to start there and “go from there.” More information was promised. No time frame for other regions was given back then – and none has been given since.

Summer 2026 was the most interesting stretch. On July 9, an English “VALORANT Mobile” logo showed up for the first time, and Tencent listed “VALORANT and VALORANT Mobile” as part of the “Worlds of Play” art exhibition at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. Lots of fans expected a big reveal on European soil. It didn’t happen: Valorant Mobile was on display at Gamescom (August 27 to 29, 2026), but no Western release was announced. In early September, gaming outlets were still reporting that there’s no global date.
Our take: an English logo and a European appearance suggest Riot and Tencent have the West on their radar. They’re not proof of an imminent launch. As soon as there’s an official announcement, we’ll update this page and the status board above. You’ll also find every major Riot milestone in our Valorant timeline with the OG test.
Valorant Mobile isn’t a stripped-down mini game. It’s a full tactical shooter built on the familiar 5v5 formula: plant or defuse the Spike, spend credits on guns and abilities, one life per round. The scope is smaller than on PC, though, because the mobile version launched with part of the roster and has been catching up step by step.
At launch on August 19, 2025, players could pick from 18 agents. You can see them with their real portraits from the Valorant API in the phone check above. Sorted by role, the launch roster looked like this:

According to Chinese update reports, more agents have joined since launch: Deadlock in February 2026, Waylay in June 2026 and Harbor with the anniversary update in August 2026. That puts Valorant Mobile at 21 agents or more. The PC version has 29 – check out the full lineup with every ability on our page covering all Valorant agents.
Launch reports say there were seven maps for the standard modes – Bind, Fracture, Haven, Icebox, Ascent, Breeze and Split are the ones named – plus two smaller maps used only in Team Deathmatch. The lists in the reports don’t fully match, so treat that lineup with a bit of caution. Sunset (February 2026) and Abyss (June 2026) were added later. Mode-wise, Valorant Mobile covers the classics: Unrated, Competitive (ranked), Escalation and Team Deathmatch were all there at launch. Depending on the source, there were roughly eight to ten modes at launch, some of them limited-time. The August 2026 anniversary update added another mode that reports call “Reclaim.” The mobile version also has its own skin lines that don’t exist on PC, such as “Overdrive.” And according to update reports, a new weapon arrived in June 2026.
Riot and Tencent stress that Valorant Mobile isn’t a simple port. Anna Donlon described it, in essence, as its own adaptation – not a clone and not a watered-down copy of the PC game. You notice that in a lot of places, even though gunplay, economy and agent abilities are clearly Valorant.

The biggest point for PC players: there’s no crossplay with PC. You can’t queue from your phone against your friends on their computers. Valorant already handles console the same way: PS5 and Xbox players play together, but separately from PC. Whether skins or progress will ever be shared between a PC account and a Western mobile version is unclear. There are only leaks, no confirmation. In China, you don’t even sign in with a Riot account – you use QQ or WeChat. So if someone claims your PC inventory is “already on mobile,” that’s not true as things stand.
The anti-cheat is an interesting detail: according to reports, the mobile version can tell when someone plugs a mouse and keyboard into their phone to get an edge. There are also full-match replays. Frame rate depends heavily on your device: 60 frames per second is the usual standard, phones with Snapdragon 8 chips can hit up to 120 fps, and select iQOO and OnePlus models even support 144 Hz.
The numbers below come from the requirements Tencent published for the Chinese version, reported consistently by several gaming outlets. Tencent lists three tiers: minimum, recommended and a high-end tier for competitive play, which we call the esports tier.

The download is about 3.8 GB on the Chinese App Store, while the base Android package on TapTap is smaller at 1.87 GB for version 1.25.0. In both cases the game can download extra data in-app, so it’s smarter to plan around the storage numbers in the table.
The good news: the requirements are moderate. Nearly every iPhone from the 2018 iPhone XR onward reaches the recommended tier, and so do many midrange Android phones from recent years. Our phone check above does the math for you. On iPhone, picking your model is enough, because Apple’s chip and memory are fixed. On Android, the check only asks for your OS version and RAM – but the processor matters just as much. So compare your chip with the examples in the table before you rely on the result.
A practical tip: even if your phone just clears the minimum, hectic rounds will push it hard. Heat, full storage and lots of background apps all drag your frame rate down. We may still be waiting in the West, but Valorant Mobile is a massive hit in China. Even before launch, more than 60 million players had reportedly pre-registered, and later reports put that number above 70 million. In its quarterly report on November 13, 2025, Tencent called the game the most successful mobile launch in China in 2025.

In May 2026, Riot announced 10 million daily active players on the Chinese platform Weibo, and on July 23, 2026, the game passed 100 million registered users. At the 2025 App Store Awards, Valorant Mobile was also named Game of the Year for mainland China. All of these numbers are for China only – which is exactly why so many fans are watching for a possible global launch. We deliberately don’t list revenue figures here, since only analyst estimates exist.
Tencent is serious about competition: the company announced it would invest 1.5 billion RMB (about $200 million) over three years in the mobile ecosystem and esports around Valorant Mobile. The scene is run by TJ Sports, a joint venture between Tencent and Riot.
Back in 2025, the National Open was a major tournament with a prize pool of roughly $418,000, and its finals took place in December 2025. In 2026, a national tournament for both PC and mobile followed with a total prize pool of 6 million RMB. The mobile competitions kicked off in March 2026 with an Alpha and an Omega stage, and the finals were held in Shanghai.
No international mobile league has been announced so far. Officially, no. Valorant Mobile isn’t available in Europe, the US or anywhere else outside China, and it isn’t listed on those App Stores or Play Stores. The Chinese version is built for the Chinese market, both technically and legally: you need a QQ or WeChat account, a phone number from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan, a real-name verification and, on iOS, a Chinese Apple ID. China also requires real-name registration for online games, and since September 1, 2021, the regulator NPPA has limited minors to playing only on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 8 to 9 p.m.
We strongly advise against getting access through someone else’s ID, bought accounts or shady “verification services.” You’d be risking your money, your data and, in the worst case, real trouble for using another person’s identity. That’s why you won’t find a guide for it here. A VPN doesn’t solve the problem either, because the real hurdle is the account and verification, not your location.
Where there’s hype, scammers follow. Back in 2020, a fake “Valorant Mobile” app circulated that actually contained an Android trojan and was promoted through YouTube videos. Security researchers tracked it as Android.FakeApp.176. Any so-called “Valorant Mobile Global APK” download is highly suspicious as long as Riot hasn’t announced a worldwide launch.
