Who is Omen in VALORANT?
Omen is the phantom of the roster – a shadowy being who has forgotten his own past and hunts his enemies from the dark. As a Controller he controls the map with smoke, blinds out of nowhere and teleports to where no one expects him.
Omen has been part of VALORANT from the very start and remains one of the most-played Controllers of all. His kit revolves around vision control and deception: he throws long-lasting smokes across the entire map, blinds enemies with a wall-piercing orb, takes short teleport steps for unexpected angles and can relocate to almost any point on the map with his Ultimate. That makes him an extremely flexible solo Controller who can supply a whole team with vision cover on his own.
For you as a player this means a thoughtful, cunning playstyle. As Omen you win rounds not just with aim, but with timing and psychology: Where do you place the smokes? When do you teleport behind the enemies? A good Omen is everywhere and nowhere – he takes away the enemy's vision, appears at their backs and is long gone before they can react.
In this guide you get the complete overview: we explain Omen's role as a Controller, every ability in detail, tips for beginners and advanced players, his best maps – and you can listen to his most distinctive lines right away.
