The interactive Breeze map with all 23 callouts

The official Breeze minimap from the Valorant API shows all 23 callouts in their real position. Tap your way around the map or test yourself in the callout quiz – so the names stick before your next match.

1Tap a dot or a name – the map shows the area and nearby callouts.
2Use the filters and “All names” to learn one area at a time.
3“Start quiz”: 10 random callouts, you tap the right spot.
What the map does for you
  • You make precise callouts in matches instead of “one back there”.
  • You understand where rotations run and which areas connect.
  • The quiz trains fast recall – exactly what counts in a match.
  • All positions come from the official map – no made-up names.
Tip: combine “All names” with a filter for one side to learn Breeze fastest – start with the side you play most, then the rest.
⚡ Quick answer

Breeze is a Valorant map with two spike sites (A and B) and three lanes, set on a tropical island in the Bermuda Triangle. The official map has 23 callouts. Its defining features are wide spaces and long-range fights, an automatic door in Mid Hall that opens with a loud sound, and what Riot calls its biggest map rework yet in patch 12.00. Breeze has been out of the Competitive pool since patch 13.04 (August 18, 2026), but you can still play it in a custom game. In pro play, Sova is locked in with 100% presence.

How to use the interactive Breeze map

Above you see the official Breeze minimap straight from the Valorant API – with all 23 callouts exactly where the game itself places them. Tap a dot or a name in the list and the map shows you the callout, its area and the three nearest neighboring callouts. Use the filters to show only A, B, mid or the spawns. “All names” labels the entire map at once. On Breeze that’s especially useful, because after the patch 12.00 rework the map looks different in many places – even experienced players have to relearn some routes.

If you think you know Breeze, start the callout quiz: ten random callouts, you tap the right spot, and at the end you see your hit rate. Mid in particular, with seven callouts from Mid Nest at the top all the way down to Mid Bottom near attacker spawn, is a real memory workout on Breeze. Precise callouts matter twice as much on a map with such long distances, because your team can only find an enemy at long range if the call is right. For all 13 maps and several difficulty levels, try the full callout trainer.

Breeze was released on April 27, 2021 with patch 2.08 in Episode 2, Act 3, and according to the Valorant Wiki it was the game’s sixth standard map – a map with three lanes and two sites. Its internal codename was “Foxtrot”. Riot’s official description reads like a travel brochure with a warning label: “Take in the sights of historic ruins or seaside caves on this tropical paradise. But bring some cover. You’ll need them for the wide open spaces and long range engagements. Watch your flanks and this will be a Breeze.”

In the lore, the island lies in the Bermuda Triangle in the Atlantic Ocean. Beneath it is a radianite mine, a cargo ship lies beached and in pieces on its shores, and a teleporter is operating with unintended functionality – which makes the island strategically important to both Alpha Earth and the invaders from Omega. The wiki adds some great details: the front half of the container ship overlooking A site holds a Kingdom Corporation work area with a triangular teleporter that was inactive at release and has received four updates since – likely tied to the events that brought KAY/O from his alternate timeline to Alpha Earth. In the background stands “Wolf’s Mansion”, owned by someone named Thurston Wolf, who according to the wiki is the reason both the VALORANT Protocol and the VALORANT Legion are interested in the island. A curious detail: Breeze’s coordinates only appeared on the loading screen starting in November 2021.

Breeze’s mechanics: automatic door, rope and the big rework

Breeze has fewer map mechanics than, say, Lotus. The real challenge is the layout: large spaces, long sightlines, long rotation paths. Still, there are two elements you need to know, plus a rework that fundamentally changed the map. All details come from the official Valorant Wiki and the official patch notes.

The automatic door in Mid Hall

Mid Hall contains an automatic door. It opens instantly as soon as a player gets close enough – and it makes a loud audio cue as it does. It works from either side and also opens for any objects thrown toward it. On the map above, Mid Hall sits to the right of center, right next to Mid Wood Doors and close to A Shop. That puts the door at a key spot between mid and the A side.

Tactically, that means you’ll never get through Mid Hall unnoticed. Anyone who triggers the door announces themselves. At the same time, you can use the sound on purpose – a thrown ability opens the door too and can fake a rotation while your team hits somewhere else. For defenders, the door is a free alarm: if you hear it, you know someone is moving between mid and A.

The rope at A site

The official wiki lists a rope ascender as the second map feature: on the defending side, a rope at the back of A site leads up onto the Bridge. On the map above, A Bridge sits right by defender spawn, above A Ramp. The rope is mainly a defender route to get from the site up and back toward spawn quickly. Since the wiki says the patch 12.00 rework also adjusted the “A Ropes” area, take a quick look in a custom game before relying on old routes.

The biggest map rework: patch 12.00

With patch 12.00 on January 6, 2026, Breeze returned to the pool – with what Riot’s official patch notes call “our biggest map rework yet”. Riot’s stated goals: reduce angle complexity, tighten open spaces and improve rotation times for defenders. Riot explicitly warned that a lot of old setups probably wouldn’t work anymore. To give everyone time to learn the new map, Breeze RR losses in Competitive were reduced by 50% for the first two weeks, while wins still counted in full.

According to the update history in the wiki, the rework touched almost the entire map: A Main, A Site, A Back Site, A Link, A Stairs, A Yellow, A Ropes, B Main, B Site, B Back Site, B Cubby, Mid, Top Mid, Mid Doors, Mid Jump, Halls, Elbow and Nest. Some of these names (such as A Main or B Cubby) are area names from the patch notes and don’t appear as separate callouts on the official callout map. If you last played Breeze before 2026, treat it like a new map.

A former mechanic: the switch door at A

Older patch entries in the wiki still mention a mechanical door at A that was operated with a switch. Patch 4.0, for example, made it so the door on A could no longer be reactivated until it finished opening or closing, and patch 9.06 fixed a bug with the mechanical door at “A Switch”. The wiki’s current description of the map features no longer lists this switch door – today, the automatic door in Mid Hall is Breeze’s door mechanic.

Breeze rule of thumb: the Mid Hall door is an alarm, distance is your enemy, and since 12.00: test old setups in a custom game first, then use them in a match.

All 23 Breeze callouts explained

The table lists every Breeze callout from the official map with its area and the three spatially closest callouts. The split: 7 callouts in mid, 6 on the A side, 7 on the B side, 2 on the defender side (Defender Spawn and Defender Arches) plus Attacker Spawn. The table uses the names from the English client. Other language versions translate only a few terms – in German, for example, “Mid” becomes “Mitte” – so the callouts work with teammates from any region.

A side: Lobby, Shop, Pyramids and the site

The A side is on the right of the map. Attackers start in A Lobby at the bottom edge, right next to attacker spawn, and move through A Shop toward the site. A Site is on the right edge of the map, with the A Pyramids right in front of it – the striking pyramids that, according to the wiki, were made taller in patch 7.04; the wiki also notes the map trailer showed them being activated. The defender area at the top right holds A Bridge and A Ramp; on the map, A Ramp sits between A Bridge and Mid Top. Through Mid Wood Doors and Mid Hall, the A side is also directly connected to mid – the second attack route onto A.

A practical note: the patch notes often talk about “A Main”, for example in the patch 12.11 bug fix for the large boxes on A Main. The official callout map doesn’t have that name as a separate spot. In a match, it helps to stick to the callouts on the map – A Lobby, A Shop, A Pyramids – so everyone on your team speaks the same language.

Mid: seven callouts from Bottom to Nest

Mid is the biggest area on Breeze. From the attacker side you come through Mid Bottom near spawn, up to Mid Pillar and on to Mid Top. At the very top, already close to the defender side, is Mid Nest next to Defender Arches. To the right of mid are Mid Wood Doors and Mid Hall with the automatic door, leading to the A side. On the left is Mid Cannon, which borders B Elbow and B Window and forms the transition to the B side. Whoever controls mid on Breeze has short paths to both sites – which is why this exact area was a focus of the rework meant to tighten the open spaces.

B side: Main, Window, Elbow and the site

The B side is on the left. From below you come through B Window and B Main toward the site; B Elbow sits a bit further right between B Main, Mid Cannon and B Tunnel. B Site itself is on the far left edge of the map, with B Back behind it. Above it, B Wall and B Tunnel sit between the site, mid and the defender side: B Tunnel borders Mid Top, and B Wall borders Defender Arches. For attackers, that area is the flank they have to keep an eye on after a take on B.

Spawns and the defender area

Attacker Spawn is at the bottom, slightly left of center, between Mid Bottom, Mid Cannon and A Lobby. Defender Spawn is at the top right, right by A Bridge and A Ramp – on the map, it’s much closer to A than to B. Defender Arches sits at the top center of the map between Mid Nest, B Wall and B Tunnel.

Is Breeze in the map pool? Status and rotation history

No. Breeze has been out of the Competitive pool since patch 13.04 (August 18, 2026). The official patch notes are clear: Breeze is out of the Competitive and Deathmatch queues, and Abyss returned in its place. Since patch 13.04, the Competitive pool is: Ascent, Abyss, Haven, Lotus, Split, Summit and Sunset. You can play Breeze in a custom game any time – ideal for learning the post-rework routes at your own pace.

Breeze’s most recent stint in the pool started with patch 12.00 on January 6, 2026: Breeze came back with the big rework, and Sunset rotated out. During patch 12.10, according to the wiki, Breeze was temporarily disabled. The reason was a bug with the large boxes on A Main that let multiple agent abilities lock onto enemies who were actually out of sight. Riot fixed the bug with patch 12.11 on June 9, 2026, and Breeze was back – until the switch to Act V with patch 13.04.

Breeze had been out of rotation before. At the start of Episode 6 in January 2023, Riot removed Breeze together with Bind from the Competitive and Unrated queues. The official reasoning: the map had some room to improve in terms of agent and team comp diversity, as well as some opportunities for simplification of the space. Several larger adjustments followed over the years – for example patch 7.04 (among other things, the middle of A Hall was blocked off with fences, A Cave was closed off and A Shop was widened) and finally the full rework in patch 12.00. You’ll always find the current status of every map on our Valorant maps & map pool overview.

Sova sits at 100% – practically no pro team plays Breeze without him. On a map with such long distances, information is everything, and Recon Bolt and Owl Drone reveal huge areas. Behind him come Harbor (73%) as controller, Neon (67%) as a fast entry and Viper (63%). Phoenix and Cypher both reach 40%, Jett 37%, KAY/O 23%, Astra 19% and Chamber 17%. Omen, a staple on many other maps, only reaches 12% on Breeze.

The most-played pro comp on Breeze is Neon, Phoenix, Sova, Harbor, Cypher – it appeared in 7 of 26 recorded comps (reference: most-played pro comp, vlr.gg: VCT 2026 Stage 2 across four regions plus Champions 2026). Sova was in all 26 comps. Harbor cuts the long sightlines with High Tide, while Cypher secures the long flanks with Trapwire and Spycam. The most common alternative is Viper instead of Cypher – giving the team two controllers. Try your own variations in the team comp builder.

Attacking on Breeze: tips for the attacker side

As an attacker on Breeze, you’re mostly fighting distance. Cross open ground without a smoke or a wall and you hand defenders with long-range weapons easy kills. The answer: information first, cut the sightlines, then go in together.

  1. Scout early: a Recon Bolt or an Owl Drone shows you whether defenders are holding A, B or mid. On Breeze, that info saves you long, risky walks in the wrong direction.
  2. Cut the sightlines: Harbor’s High Tide or Viper’s Toxic Screen split wide areas into safe corridors. That’s exactly why both rank so high with the pros.
  3. Use Mid Hall deliberately: the automatic door gives away everyone who passes. Use it as bait – a thrown ability opens it too – or only plan the route through Mid Wood Doors and Mid Hall when the sound doesn’t matter.
  4. Hit A from two routes: combine a push through A Lobby and A Shop with pressure from mid through Mid Wood Doors. Defenders at the A Pyramids then have to look in two directions.
  5. Post-plant at range: the long lines on Breeze help you too. Plant so you can hold the spike from a safe distance, and use mollies such as Phoenix’s Hot Hands or Viper’s Snake Bite to deny defuses.

A proven pattern is the B take with mid control: two players secure mid up to Mid Top and watch B Tunnel, while three go through B Main and B Window onto the site. That way no defender rotation from mid can run into your flank. Plan these plays beforehand on the strategy board – on a big map, good timing is half the battle.

Remember that defender spawn at the top right is much closer to A than to B. Expect faster defender rotations on A because of that. A fake on A followed by a rotation to B can work, but it needs enough time – the paths for attackers on Breeze are long. Good teams decide early and commit their utility to one site.

Defending on Breeze: tips for the defender side

As a defender on Breeze, you benefit from long sightlines and the audible door in Mid Hall. According to Riot, the 12.00 rework also improved rotation times for defenders. Still, the map is big – without information, you’ll quickly end up on the wrong side.

  1. Information on the flanks: Cypher’s Trapwire and Spycam, like in the pro comp, or Killjoy’s Alarmbot tell you when attackers come down the long routes. A sentinel saves you a lot of blind rotations on Breeze.
  2. Listen for the door: if the automatic door in Mid Hall opens, someone is moving between mid and A. Call out the sound – but check whether it was just a thrown ability.
  3. Distance as a weapon: Breeze rewards defenders who hold long lines. Pick spots where you can see an entrance from far away, and reposition after your first shot.
  4. Don’t give up mid for free: Mid Top, Mid Nest and B Tunnel are your fastest ways to rotate between the sites. Lose mid and you’ll have to take the long way through spawn.
  5. Retake with utility: Sova arrows, Harbor walls and Viper screens don’t only help on attack. Group up, clear the site and go in together – single players lose to a well-set post-plant on wide-open ground.

Watch out for old setups: since the patch 12.00 rework, many old lineups, angles and routes no longer work. Riot explicitly said so in the official patch notes. Test every setup you learned before 2026 in a custom game before you rely on it in a match.

Breeze setups after the rework: smokes & Cypher

Here are the key Breeze setups after the big rework in patch 12.00 – every position is marked on the official, current minimap, numbered and explained. You get the standard smokes for A, B and mid (shown with Clove, but they work for any controller) plus a Cypher setup for B.

Because Breeze was only reworked in January 2026, detailed sources are still rare; setups with only one main source are marked “1 main source”. The markers show the area, not the exact pixel – test each setup in a custom game before using it in ranked.

Updated for the Breeze rework in patch 12.00 (January 6, 2026): the official minimap shows the new layout and all sources date from after the rework (January to June 2026). The smokes come from Clove and Miks guides – the spots work for any controller with smokes.

The 5 most common mistakes on Breeze

Breeze punishes different mistakes than tight maps like Bind. These five cost the most rounds:

Callout cheat sheet: what good calls sound like on Breeze

A good callout answers three questions in one sentence: how many, where, and in what state. On Breeze, add the direction, because enemies are often on the move across big spaces. The following examples use only names from the official map:

Two rules make the difference on Breeze: first, include the direction – “one Mid Pillar, heading Mid Top” is worth more than just “one mid”. Second, don’t treat the door as a confirmed enemy: the sound from Mid Hall can also come from a thrown ability or a teammate. That’s why you should call it out when you go through the door yourself.

Breeze compared to the other maps

Breeze is the map of long distances: Riot itself describes it with wide open spaces and long range engagements. Where Bind works through tight sites and teleporters and Ascent through a branching mid with doors, Breeze is won by the team that controls sightlines better and gathers information faster. Sova’s 100% presence and Harbor’s 73% show that clearly. At the same time, Breeze has become tighter than it used to be after the patch 12.00 rework. The table shows all 13 maps at a glance:

Breeze FAQ

How many callouts does Breeze have?

The official Breeze map has 23 callouts: 7 in mid, 6 on the A side, 7 on the B side, 2 on the defender side (Defender Spawn and Defender Arches) plus Attacker Spawn.

Is Breeze in the map pool right now?

No. Breeze has been out of the Competitive pool since patch 13.04 (August 18, 2026), when Abyss returned. The pool is Ascent, Abyss, Haven, Lotus, Split, Summit and Sunset. You can still play Breeze in a custom game.

What changed in the Breeze rework in patch 12.00?

According to Riot, it was the biggest map rework yet: less angle complexity, tighter open spaces and better rotation times for defenders. According to the wiki, areas such as A Main, A Site, A Link, B Main, B Site, mid, Mid Doors, Halls, Elbow and Nest were adjusted.

How does the Mid Hall door on Breeze work?

The automatic door opens instantly once a player gets close enough and makes a loud sound as it does. It opens from either side and also for objects thrown toward it.

Why was Breeze temporarily disabled in 2026?

During patch 12.10, Breeze was temporarily disabled because abilities could lock onto enemies hidden behind the large boxes on A Main. Patch 12.11 on June 9, 2026 fixed the bug.

When was Breeze released?

Breeze was released on April 27, 2021 with patch 2.08 in Episode 2, Act 3, as Valorant’s sixth standard map.

Where is Breeze set in the Valorant world?

Breeze is set on a tropical island in the Bermuda Triangle in the Atlantic Ocean. Beneath the island is a radianite mine, and a beached cargo ship with a Kingdom teleporter lies on its shore.

What are the best agents on Breeze?

In pro play, Sova is locked in with 100% presence, followed by Harbor (73%), Neon (67%) and Viper (63%). The most-played pro comp is Neon, Phoenix, Sova, Harbor, Cypher.

Is there a rope on Breeze?

According to the official wiki, yes: on the defending side, a rope at the back of A site leads up onto the Bridge. Since the 12.00 rework also adjusted that area, a quick test in a custom game is worth it.

What’s the fastest way to learn the Breeze callouts?

Which smokes do you need for A on the new Breeze?

On an A attack, one smoke goes between the two pyramids and one to the left of them toward Mid Wood Doors. On defense, smoke the A Main entrance and Mid Wood Doors.

One Trapwire goes across the B Main entrance to the site so nobody gets onto the site without triggering it. The Spycam sits high on the B Wall and watches B Main and B Tunnel.
