Who is Veto in VALORANT?
Veto is the enforcer of the roster – a Senegalese agent whose incredible DNA mutations enable him to neutralize the powers and technologies of his opponents. On Veto's battlefield, you can only rely on your weapon.
Veto is one of the newest agents and introduced a completely new sentinel concept: anti-utility. His kit revolves around neutralization and control: an interceptor destroys enemy gadgets before they take effect, a trap of liquid mutation holds enemies in place and weakens them, a vortex serves as his teleport anchor, and his Ultimate turns him into a nearly unstoppable combat machine. That makes him a Sentinel who takes the tools away from the enemy.
For you as a player, that means a thinking, countering playstyle. As Veto, you win rounds by making your opponents' utility run into nothing and securing access points. Whoever reads the enemy abilities and destroys them with the interceptor takes away the entire foundation from utility-heavy teams. A good Veto is the counter to everything that isn't the pure weapon.
In this guide you get the complete overview: we explain Veto's role as a Sentinel, every ability in detail, tips for beginners and advanced players, and his best maps. How good your own Veto performance really is, is evaluated by the Valorant-Spind coach analysis locally on your PC.
