What are ultimate voice lines in Valorant?

An ultimate voice line (or „ult line“ for short) is the voiced sentence an agent utters the moment they activate their ultimate ability. Unlike the normal ability callouts, the ultimate is an agent’s strongest and rarest move – and the line is dramatic to match. Riot Games gave each of these lines plenty of personality: it conveys the agent’s character in just two or three words. Reyna sounds greedy and eager to hunt, Sage calm and resolute, Raze hyped-up and explosive.

These short sentences have long been part of Valorant culture. They pop up constantly in clips, montages and memes, and many players recognise an agent by their ultimate voice line alone – before they even see them. That is exactly why it is worth listening through them in peace and comparing them side by side. Our soundboard above makes exactly that possible: one click, sound plays.

Ally-cast vs. enemy-cast – why every agent has two ult lines

Perhaps the most interesting detail about the Valorant ultimate voice lines: for almost every ultimate there are two completely different lines. Which one you hear depends on which side you are on.

🛡️ Ally-cast (your team hears it)

The version for your teammates is usually encouraging, confident or laid-back. It essentially says: „I am applying pressure now – come with me.“ Jett’s „Watch this!“ is a prime example.

⚔️ Enemy-cast (the enemies hear it)

The version for the enemy team sounds distinctly more threatening. It is a deliberate warning: an ultimate is live, watch out. Jett’s enemies instead hear a hard „Get out of my way!“.

This trick is no coincidence but good game design. The enemy-cast lines give opponents a fair, audible warning – so no ultimate feels completely out of nowhere. At the same time the difference adds atmosphere and makes every agent feel different from both perspectives. Attentive players even use the enemy lines actively: if you hear „Prepare for hellfire!“, you know immediately that Brimstone’s bombs are about to drop. That is exactly why on this page you can switch between „Team“, „Enemy“ and „Both“ and compare the differences directly.

All Valorant ultimate voice lines by role

To help you find your way quickly, we have sorted every ultimate voice line by the four Valorant roles. For each agent we name their ultimate and briefly place the line in context. You can play all the lines directly in the soundboard above.

Duelists

The duelists are the aggressive entry fraggers – and their ult lines are confident to match. With Blade Storm, Jett throws deadly knives and comments with a casual „Watch this!“. With Run it Back, Phoenix sends an echo of himself forward and calls his team a motivating „C'mon, let's go!“, while the enemies hear the nasty „Joke's over, you're dead!“. With Showstopper, Raze pulls out her rocket launcher and announces the destruction with „Here comes the party!“. With Empress, Reyna becomes an unstoppable huntress – „They will cower!“ for allies, „The hunt begins!“ as a threat to enemies. With Overdrive, Neon charges her lightning and starts with an energetic „Here we go!“. With Dimensional Drift, Yoru slips into another dimension and stays pointedly cool: „I'll handle this!“. And Iso, the newest duelist in this group, focuses on a single duel with Kill Contract„No distractions!“ for his team, „It's you and me!“ for his victim.

Initiators

Initiators set up the attacks, gather information and disrupt the defence – so their ultimate voice lines often sound like a charge and a hunt. With Hunter's Fury, Sova becomes a relentless archer and proudly declares „I, am the hunter!“, while enemies hear a threatening „Nowhere to run!“. With Rolling Thunder, Breach rolls a quake wave across the site and simply shouts „Let's go!“. With Seekers, Skye sends her creatures out to track enemies – „Seek them out!“. With NULL/cmd, KAY/O suppresses every enemy’s abilities and makes it clear: „No one walks away!“ or „You are powerless!“. With Nightfall, Fade chases fear and darkness over the enemies and commands her creature: „Nightmare, take them!“. With Thrash, Gekko unleashes his creature and cheers it on: „It's all you, lil' homie!“ – and when he collects Thrash and throws it again, he calls „Thrash is going again!“. Tejo, one of the youngest initiators, ends the round with his rocket strike and a cool „This is how it ends!“.

Controllers

Controllers command sightlines with smoke and zones – their ult lines often feel calm, superior or eerie. With Orbital Strike, Brimstone calls fire from the sky: „Open up the sky!“ for his team, „Prepare for hellfire!“ as a warning to the enemies. With From the Shadows, Omen teleports across the whole map and whispers „Watch them run.“, while the enemies hear a frantic „Scatter!“. With Viper's Pit, Viper sets up her toxic cloud and stakes out her territory: „Don't get in my way!“ or „Welcome to my world!“. With Cosmic Divide, Astra splits the entire map with a wall and declares „World divided!“. With Reckoning, Harbor breaks water across the site and shouts „Let's turn the tide!“, his enemies hear a dry „I suggest you move!“. And Clove, the youngest controller, returns to the game even after death with the ultimate Not Dead Yet„Back like I never left!“ for allies, a mocking „Ya had your fun, my turn!“ for the baffled enemies.

Sentinels

Sentinels defend, secure flanks and swing whole rounds with their ultimates – their voice lines range from protective to ice-cold. With Resurrection, Sage brings a fallen teammate back to life and says gently „Your duty is not over!“, at the enemies she hurls a determined „You will not kill my allies!“. With Neural Theft, Cypher steals the positions of all living enemies and asks almost casually „Where is everyone hiding?“ – the enemies, however, hear the unsettling „I know exactly where you are!“. With Lockdown, Killjoy seals off a whole site and reports curtly „Initiated!“, while the enemies are warned: „You should run.“. With Tour de Force, Chamber draws his deadly precision rifle and comments dryly „They are so dead!“. With Annihilation, Deadlock catches enemies in a nanowire cocoon and drags them away with the words „Pull them to their grave!“, defending her territory with „My territory, my rules!“. And Vyse, the newest sentinel, unleashes her weapon arsenal with Steel Garden and commands „Bring me the arsenal!“, leaving the enemies only one choice: „Adapt or die!“.

Ult lines as a tactical tool

The enemy-cast lines are far more than nice extras – they are a real information tool. Because as an enemy you get your own, clearly audible line, you can tell from it immediately which ultimate is active and react accordingly. „The hunt begins!“ means a Reyna is hunting in Empress mode and you had better not face her in a 1-on-1. „Welcome to my world!“ reveals that Viper has set up her pit and you should avoid the zone or approach it with utility. „Prepare for hellfire!“ is your signal to run out of the affected area immediately, before Brimstone’s bombs land. Anyone who knows the ultimate voice lines by heart gains valuable seconds – and that is exactly why this soundboard is also an excellent learning tool.

Good to know about the ultimate voice lines

Not every agent has an enemy-cast line: some ultimates, such as those of Chamber, Neon or Gekko, work differently and therefore have no separate warning line for enemies. Gekko in turn has a peculiarity many people do not know: because he can pick up his creature Thrash after use and throw it again, there is an extra „recall“ line („Thrash is going again!“) which you can also listen to here. Besides the pure ultimate lines, the bonus area also has a few especially striking ability callouts like Sova’s „Shock dart.“ or KAY/O’s „Fragment!“ – also original cast lines from the game.

All lines on this page come from Valorant’s official English voice files. The German notes next to them are sense-for-sense translations, so beginners immediately understand what the agent is actually shouting. Because Valorant is released worldwide, the ultimates are also voiced in many languages – but the English originals are by far the best known and are the most searched-for even in German-speaking regions, for example under the keyword „valorant ultimate voice lines“.

How the soundboard works

The operation is deliberately kept simple: just click any line to play it. With the switches above you show either only the ally casts (your team), only the enemy casts (the enemies) or both at once. With the role filters you narrow the view to duelists, initiators, controllers or sentinels, and via the search field you find a specific agent instantly. If you just want to browse, hit „Random ultimate“ – then the board plays a random line and jumps to the matching card.

The highlight for everyone who wants to test their knowledge is the blind test „Who says this?“: we play a random ultimate voice line and you guess the correct agent from four suggestions. For every correct answer your streak grows – how many can you get in a row without a mistake? A small but pretty addictive test for true Valorant connoisseurs.

Frequently asked questions about the Valorant ultimate voice lines

What is the best-known ultimate voice line? Among the most iconic are Jett’s „Watch this!“, Sova’s „I, am the hunter!“, Reyna’s „The hunt begins!“ and Raze’s „Here comes the party!“. You can listen to and compare all four directly above.

Why does my team hear a different line than the enemies? Because Riot voiced two lines per ultimate – an encouraging one for your own side (ally-cast) and an intimidating warning for the other side (enemy-cast). This way every ultimate is fairly announced and still feels fitting from both perspectives.

Are really all agents included here? Yes – the soundboard contains the ultimate voice lines of all agents that have one. Brand-new agents without collected voice files yet are added as soon as they are available. That way the collection always stays as complete as possible.

Learning and recognising ultimate voice lines

For new players the many lines feel like one big jumble at first – yet here lies an underrated advantage. Whoever deliberately memorises the enemy-cast lines turns a mere soundscape into usable game information. A good way there: in the soundboard above, play only the enemy casts of one role, for example the controllers, and memorise which warning belongs to which ultimate. This way you link „World divided!“ with Astra’s Cosmic Divide or „I suggest you move!“ with Harbor’s water wall. After a few passes you immediately recognise in a real match what is coming for you, without having even seen the agent.

For content creators, casters and fans, the Valorant ultimate voice lines are a rewarding topic too: they are perfect for highlight clips, quiz formats or simply to argue in the community about the coolest line. Is Reyna’s greedy „The hunt begins!“ the best enemy line? Or Phoenix’ gleeful „Joke's over, you're dead!“? Exactly such comparisons make the lines so popular – and are the reason why so many players deliberately search for a complete overview of the ultimate voice lines. With the soundboard on this page you have them ready at any time, without having to jump into the game yourself.

Conclusion

The Valorant ultimate voice lines are small sentences with a big impact: they give every agent character, fairly warn enemies of the strongest ability and are true cult at the same time. With this soundboard you have them all in one place – to listen to, compare, learn and guess. If you then want to dive deeper into a specific agent, our detailed agent guides cover exactly how each ultimate works, the best maps and pro tips.
