Battle Pass Calculator

Enter your current tier, the target and your play pace. The calculator uses the real XP model (tier × 750 + 500) and the days left until the act ends.

Your status

Your play pace

XP model: Riot wiki + Valorant Fandom (Experience). Act end Oct 14, 2026 from valorant-api /v1/seasons. Weekly mission XP = editable estimate (Riot publishes no fixed values). As of: Sep 11, 2026.

What is the Valorant battle pass – and why a time calculator?

The battle pass is Valorant’s seasonal reward track: 50 tiers (plus 5 epilogue tiers) of sprays, buddies, player cards, titles, Radianite and – in the premium pass for 1,000 VP (~€10) – a full weapon skin line. The catch: every act is time-limited. Start too late or play too rarely and you won’t reach the last tiers – and everything unclaimed is lost. That is what this calculator is for: using the real XP model it tells you whether your current pace is enough to finish the pass before the act ends on Oct 14, 2026 – and if not, how much more you need.

The XP system – the real numbers

Contrary to popular belief the battle pass XP curve is fixed and public (stable since Episode 2). Each tier costs more than the last:

  • Formula: tier N (from tier 2) needs N × 750 + 500 XP. Tier 2 = 2,000 XP, tier 10 = 8,000 XP, tier 50 = 38,000 XP.
  • To tier 50: exactly 980,000 XP in total.
  • Epilogue (tiers 51–55): 36,500 XP each, 182,500 XP together → the full pass is 1,162,500 XP.

These numbers are the core of the calculator. It subtracts the XP you’ve already banked past your current tier from your target (tier 50 or 55) and divides the rest by the days remaining.

Where the XP comes from

There are three big XP sources – the calculator models all three:

  • Matches. Ranked and Unrated give 100 XP per round played + 200 XP per round won. A 13:11 win yields around 5,000 XP, an 8:13 loss still ~3,700 XP – averaging about 4,400 XP per match. Spike Rush gives a flat 1,000 XP in ~8 minutes, the best XP-per-time source for heavy players. Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Swiftplay sit around ~900–1,000 XP.
  • Daily checkpoints. Your first games each day grant up to 4 checkpoints of 1,000 XP on top – 4,000 XP per day, entirely in addition to match XP. Across a full act that’s about 224,000 XP. This is why playing daily (even briefly) is far more efficient than long weekend sessions.
  • Weekly missions. Each week brings a set of missions that deliver the biggest single XP chunks in the pass. Riot doesn’t publish fixed values and changes them per act – so the calculator uses an editable estimate here. Doing weeklies consistently saves you a huge number of matches.

How the calculator works

On the left you enter your status: current tier, optionally the XP inside the running tier, your target (tier 50 or 55 with epilogue) and the deadline (default: act end Oct 14, 2026, but freely editable). On the right you describe your play pace: games per week, mode, play days per week (for checkpoints) and whether you do the weekly missions. From this the calculator builds your weekly XP budget, projects it across the remaining weeks and compares it to what you still need. The result is clear: green („you’ll make it, done by …"), yellow („right on the edge") or red with a concrete recommendation of how many games per week you’re missing.

Faster through the pass – the best levers

  • Log in every day. The 4,000 checkpoint XP/day is the biggest free lever. Two games daily beats ten once a week.
  • Weeklies first. They give the most per unit of time and many complete passively („play X rounds", „use ability Y").
  • Spike Rush for XP per minute. 1,000 XP in ~8 minutes beats a long match if you only care about tiers.
  • Play in a party. The party bonus grants up to +20 % XP (5-stack) – pure upside for no extra effort.
  • Don’t let missions expire. Weeklies stack and last until act end; dailies are more fleeting.

Free track vs. premium

The free track is open to everyone and hands out Radianite, sprays, buddies and player cards across the tiers. The premium pass (1,000 VP ≈ €10) additionally unlocks a skin line and much more cosmetics plus Radianite – but it does not change the XP curve. For the calculator that’s irrelevant: it counts tiers and XP, not rewards. Whether premium is worth it is purely a rewards question – you have to earn the tiers either way.

Timing within the act – when to start?

An act lasts around eight weeks. Start in the final week and you must grind extremely hard – often unrealistically so. Rule of thumb: the calculator shows „needed per week". If that value is above what you realistically play, start earlier or prioritise weeklies. The current act ends on Oct 14, 2026, after which the next one begins immediately (until Jan 6, 2027) with a fresh pass. If you realise the current one is no longer achievable, it can be worth saving your VP for the next.

Common mistakes

  • Started too late. The most common reason for an unfinished pass. The calculator surfaces this early.
  • Skipping checkpoints. Playing only on weekends wastes 4,000 XP on each of five days.
  • Ignoring weeklies. Without them you level noticeably slower – often the difference between „done" and „just missed".
  • Only long matches. For pure leveling Spike Rush beats a 45-minute comp game.

Worked example: is my pace enough?

Say you’re tier 20 and want tier 50. To tier 20 you’ve banked 209,000 XP; tier 50 needs 980,000 XP – so you’re short 771,000 XP. Suppose 28 days (4 weeks) remain until act end. That means about 192,750 XP per week or ~27,500 XP per day. If you play 5 days a week and grab the checkpoints there (5 × 4,000 = 20,000 XP), do the weekly missions (estimate ~27,000 XP) and play 10 ranked games (10 × 4,400 = 44,000 XP), you land at ~91,000 XP/week – which is not enough. The calculator then shows you exactly that you’re ~100,000 XP short per week and need either far more games or an earlier start. That’s the kind of reality check the tool does in seconds – with your real numbers.

XP per hour – which mode is best for leveling?

If it’s purely about collecting tiers, what matters is XP per time, not per match:

  • Spike Rush – ~1,000 XP in ~8–10 min → roughly 6,000–7,500 XP/hour. Great for fast leveling.
  • Ranked/Unrated – ~4,400 XP in ~35–45 min → roughly 6,000–7,000 XP/hour, open-ended with the win bonus. Best mix of XP and „real" play.
  • Deathmatch/Team Deathmatch – ~900–1,000 XP in ~6–10 min → solid for warming up plus XP on the side.
  • Swiftplay – short matches (~15 min), good when time is tight.

Key: you get the daily checkpoints in any mode – so the first games of the day are always the most valuable, whatever you play.

The party bonus – up to +20 % free

Playing in a group grants an XP bonus on match XP: around +8 % as a duo, scaling to +20 % in a 5-stack. That’s pure upside for no extra effort and adds up over an act. In the calculator you can price it in roughly by setting your XP/match or „XP/week from missions" slightly higher – or just take it as extra buffer.

What’s in the rewards?

The pass mixes cosmetics (sprays, buddies, player cards, titles), Radianite points (to upgrade skins) and, in the premium track, a weapon skin line. Across the tiers you also collect Kingdom Credits, redeemable in the in-game store for older skins and accessories – another reason to finish the pass. The free track alone yields enough Radianite to fully upgrade one or two skins per act. The calculator doesn’t rate rewards – but the further you get, the more of them land in your account.

What happens at act end?

On Oct 14, 2026 the current act ends – and with it the battle pass. All tiers you didn’t reach (and their rewards) are then gone for good; there’s no buying individual tiers and no extension. The next act begins immediately after (until Jan 6, 2027) with a completely new pass at tier 0. If you realistically can’t finish the current one, save the 1,000 VP for the next. The calculator helps you make that call in time, instead of discovering in the final week that you’re 15 tiers short.

Battle pass, event pass and agent contract – don’t mix them up

Valorant has several parallel progression systems that often get confused – and this tool calculates only one of them:

  • Battle pass (this calculator). Runs the whole act, 50 (+5) tiers, fixed XP curve, free + premium. Biggest scope, longest runtime.
  • Event pass. Time-limited mini-passes around big events (e.g. the Champions event). They run only a few weeks, have fewer tiers and their own rewards – separate from the battle pass and with their own, shorter deadline. XP is shared, but the goals differ.
  • Agent contract / recruitment. Unlocks a specific agent and its cosmetics. Runs permanently (no time pressure) but also counts off your gameplay XP.

Timing note: during event weeks your XP can feel like it goes „elsewhere" because you’re leveling the event pass in parallel. But battle pass progress always runs alongside – your earned XP counts for all active passes. For the calculator that means: keep entering your real battle pass tiers and the projection stays accurate.

Myths about battle pass XP

  • „Premium gives more XP." False. Premium only unlocks more rewards – the XP curve and your leveling pace are identical to the free track.
  • „You can buy tiers." Not in the classic way in Valorant – the pass is played, not purchased. Plan with time, not VP.
  • „You have to win." No. You still earn solid XP on losses (100 per round); the win bonus is just the cherry on top. Playing on beats tilting off.
  • „Only long sessions count." False – thanks to the daily 4,000 checkpoint XP, short daily play is more efficient than rare marathons.

Who is this calculator for?

For anyone who doesn’t want to leave the pass to chance: casual players wondering whether buying it is still worth it; heavy players checking their minimum pace; and everyone jumping in mid-act who needs an honest answer fast. Instead of a gut feeling you get a clear number – and a concrete plan for how many games per week get you there. Enter your values above and you’ll know where you stand in five seconds.

An efficient weekly routine

When the calculator says „close", a simple routine usually gets you there without turning into a full-time grinder. What works: Monday, check the new weekly missions and knock out the ones that complete passively. Daily, two to three games – almost always enough for the full 4,000 checkpoint XP and it keeps you in rhythm. Short on time? Take Spike Rush (1,000 XP in 8 minutes) over a long comp match. On the weekend, when you have more time, clear the remaining weeklies and play one or two longer sessions in a party (party bonus!). Keep this up from act start and you’ll finish the pass comfortably almost every time – the calculator then just confirms you’re in the green. Join later and it shows exactly how much extra you need to close the gap.

In short

The battle pass needs 980,000 XP to tier 50 (1,162,500 with epilogue), each tier costing tier×750+500 XP. Your three sources are matches (~4,400 XP/comp game, 1,000 in Spike Rush), the daily checkpoints (4,000 XP/day) and the weekly missions (biggest chunk, variable). The current act ends on Oct 14, 2026. Enter your tier and pace above – the calculator tells you in seconds whether you’ll make it, by when, and how many games per week you’d otherwise be missing. That way you only buy the premium pass when it actually still fits.

🤖 AI facts about the battle pass

980,000 XP

To tier 50 the battle pass needs exactly 980,000 XP; every tier from tier 2 costs tier×750+500 XP (verified: Riot wiki + Valorant Fandom).

4,000 XP/day free

Daily checkpoints grant up to 4×1,000 XP per day – around 224,000 XP over an act (~19 % of the pass) just for playing daily.

Deadline Oct 14, 2026

The current act ends on Oct 14, 2026 per the Valorant API – the pass must be finished by then or the tiers are lost.

How much XP does the whole battle pass need?

To tier 50 it is exactly 980,000 XP. Every tier from tier 2 on costs tier × 750 + 500 XP (tier 2 = 2,000, tier 50 = 38,000). With the 5 Epilogue tiers (36,500 XP each) it totals 1,162,500 XP. These values have been stable since Episode 2 (source: official Riot wiki + Valorant Fandom).

How much XP does one game give?

Ranked/Unrated give 100 XP per round played + 200 XP per round won – so a normal match yields roughly 3,700–5,000 XP (avg ~4,400). Spike Rush gives a flat 1,000 XP; Deathmatch/Team Deathmatch/Swiftplay ~900–1,000 XP. On top come the daily checkpoints.

What are the daily checkpoints?

Each day your first games grant up to 4 checkpoints of 1,000 XP = 4,000 XP on top of normal match XP. Across a full act that is about 224,000 XP (~19 % of the pass) just for playing daily. Logging in every day is the single biggest efficiency lever.

Why is the weekly mission XP only an estimate?

Riot does not publish fixed weekly mission XP and changes it between acts, yet weeklies are the biggest single XP sources in the pass. So the calculator uses an editable estimate – check the in-game Missions tab for the exact number.

What is the deadline?

The current act (and thus the battle pass) runs until Oct 14, 2026 per the Valorant API. After that the pass is gone – unclaimed tiers are lost. The calculator counts the remaining days automatically and tells you whether your pace is enough.

Is the premium pass worth it?

The premium pass costs 1,000 VP (~€10) and unlocks far more rewards (a skin line, Radianite, sprays, buddies). The free track still gives Radianite and cosmetics. The calculator works the same for both – it counts tiers, not rewards.

Does XP from all modes count toward the battle pass?

Yes. Every playable mode (Ranked, Unrated, Swiftplay, Spike Rush, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Escalation, Premier) gives battle pass XP, and you get the daily checkpoints in any mode. Only pure practice/custom areas without matchmaking don’t count.

How accurate is the calculator?

The XP curve is exact (fixed Riot formula). Your match XP varies slightly with the round count, and weekly mission XP is an estimate – so the result is a solid projection, not a promise down to the last tier. Build in a small buffer and you’re on the safe side.

What if I start mid-act?

No problem – just enter your current tier. The calculator uses the days left until act end and immediately tells you whether your pace covers the rest or whether buying in is still worth it.
