Who is Fade in VALORANT?
Fade is the bounty hunter of the roster – a Turkish agent who reaches into her enemies' nightmares and uses their fear as a weapon. As an Initiator she tracks foes through walls, sends living shadows after them and sets up the perfect attack for her team.
Fade arrived in 2022 and has been one of the strongest recon Initiators ever since. Her kit revolves around information and control: with a thrown eye she reveals enemy positions, ties foes down with a knot of pure fear, sends out a nightmarish creature that chases enemies and blinds them, and unleashes a wave via her Ultimate that marks a whole site at once. That makes her the eye and the harbinger of every attack.
For you as a player, that means an anticipating, team-oriented playstyle. As Fade you win rounds by knowing where the enemy is before your team turns the corner. Her recon tools are powerful, but they need good knowledge of angles and timing – a good Fade turns information into clear advantages for the whole team.
In this guide you get the complete overview: we explain Fade's role as an Initiator, every ability in detail, tips for beginners and advanced players, her best maps – and you can listen to her most distinctive lines right here.
