Importing a crosshair code: step by step

The import takes less than a minute and works the same for every code in this database. First: click "Copy code" on the crosshair you want – the code is now in your clipboard. Second: launch Valorant, open Settings via the gear icon, then the Crosshair tab. Third: next to the crosshair profiles at the top you'll find a small import icon (downward arrow). Click it, paste the code with Ctrl+V and confirm.

The new crosshair is active immediately – no restart needed. If one detail bugs you, you don't have to start over: every imported value can be changed individually in game, from color to line length. Fine-tuning is even more comfortable in our crosshair generator: paste the code, tweak live, export a new code. And if you're just getting started: Valorant lets you save up to 15 profiles, so you can keep several favorites and switch per agent or weapon.

What makes a good crosshair?

A crosshair in a tactical shooter has exactly one job: to show you without distraction where your bullets go. That's why the pros agree on a surprising number of points. First: small beats big. A compact crosshair doesn't cover heads at distance – with enemy heads taking up anywhere from 300 down to 50 pixels depending on range, that's the difference between "seen" and "covered". More than half of all crosshairs in our database (120 of 237) are in the compact range with lines of at most 3 units.

Second: static beats dynamic. Movement and firing error – the lines spreading while running and shooting – are disabled by almost all pros. The reason is feedback hygiene: in Valorant your first shot from a standstill is accurate; a crosshair that constantly moves delivers information you don't need in a duel but your brain still has to process. Third: consistency beats optimization. The biggest mistake is switching daily. Your muscle memory calibrates to the center of your crosshair – every change costs hours of adjustment. Pick one below, give it a week, and only tweak details afterwards.

Cross, dot or cross + dot: which style fits you?

The database knows three basic styles, and the distribution speaks clearly: 168 of the 237 crosshairs are pure crosses, 52 combine cross and center dot, only 17 rely on the pure dot. The classic cross is the all-rounder: four lines frame the target without covering it, and the gap in the middle keeps the enemy's head free. Anyone coming from other shooters feels at home instantly.

The pure dot is the precision tool: nothing covers the target and your eyes center automatically. But it demands clean movement, because without lines there's no orientation while tracking – and in spray fights the feedback disappears entirely. Typical dot players are one-tap-oriented duelists; tarik is the most prominent example in this database. Cross + dot tries to combine both: the dot for centering, the lines for orientation. That works well as long as both stay small – otherwise the center gets busy fast. Try all three styles via the filters above; in the large view the light and map backgrounds instantly show which style feels calmest to your eyes.

Colors: why cyan dominates the scene

On colors, our analysis is unambiguous: cyan leads by a wide margin – 86 of all 237 crosshairs, and among VCT pros it's 51 of 76, i.e. 67 percent. The reason is simple: cyan doesn't appear as a large-scale environment color on a single Valorant map. No sand yellow like Bind, no plant green like Ascent mid, no white like the walls of Icebox – the turquoise stands out everywhere.

White comes second (41 entries): maximally neutral, but occasionally swallowed by bright walls – which is why many pair it with outlines. Green (24) is the classic from CS days and works almost everywhere; only very green map sections hurt its contrast. Loud colors like red and pink remain niche picks: red blends into many brown and brick tones, while pink is surprisingly visible and popular with content creators – Kyedae plays a pink setup. Use the color filter above to find codes for any preference, and when in doubt: color is taste, contrast is mandatory.

Outlines, opacity and the fine print in the code

Outlines – the black border around the lines – are your insurance against bright backgrounds: 103 of our 237 crosshairs use them. Rule of thumb: if you play a bright color like white or yellow, a subtle outline (thickness 1, opacity around 0.5) almost always helps. With saturated cyan or green you can often drop it – the crosshair looks a touch cleaner. That's exactly why TenZ plays without outlines while many white-crosshair players keep them on.

Opacity is an underrated lever too: lines at 0.8 instead of 1.0 feel less dominant while staying clearly visible. A look into the codes reveals more details you can read directly: 0l is the inner line length, 0t their thickness, 0o the center gap, d;1 enables the center dot, h;0 turns outlines off. Import a code and trace these values in game, and you'll understand more about crosshair design in five minutes than from any video – and you'll be able to adapt any setup to your own eyes.

67%of the VCT pros in the database play cyan
71%of all crosshairs are pure crosses
51%are compact (line length ≤ 3)
84%of VCT pros skip the center dot

The numbers above aren't gut feeling – we analyzed all 237 codes in this database programmatically. The pro recipe accordingly: small cyan cross, no outlines, no dot, static. That exact pattern is played by TenZ, iiTzTimmy, Cryo, Wardell and dozens more – sometimes with identical codes, sometimes with minimal differences in gap and length. Over the years it has proven to be the best compromise between visibility and a clear view.

The deliberate outliers are just as interesting: zekken (MIBR) plays a green dot with full outline, aspas a red mini cross – as an aggressive duelist he wants maximum contrast against the environment. ScreaM, the veteran headshot machine, uses a four-point design of short inner and outer lines. And team culture shows: Leviatán (LEV) has five players' crosshairs in the database, all compact. The lesson: copying the majority recipe is fine – but if an outlier style fits your game, it's not a mistake, it's a decision.

The categories at a glance

VCT pros (76 codes): crosshairs from players around the Valorant Champions Tour – from TenZ and yay to Alfajer, with team labels where known. These codes come from the public tracker.gg gallery and are maintained by the community; pros occasionally tweak details, but the base recipe usually stays stable for years. Streamers (8 codes): verified setups of well-known creators like tarik, shroud, Kyedae and iiTzTimmy from their documented settings. Community (137 codes): the most popular submissions of the tracker.gg community, sorted by upvotes – creative designs beyond the pro standard look, from mini dots to four-point setups. Templates (16 codes): deliberately simple starting points we built for every style and color – ideal if you want to develop your own crosshair from scratch.

Will a new crosshair improve your aim?

The honest answer: not directly – but it declutters. A bad crosshair covers targets, flickers against busy backgrounds or fakes precision with dynamic lines. A good crosshair stops being noticeable at all: it just sits where your bullet goes. So if you regularly shoot "past the head", check sensitivity and positioning first – but if your crosshair visibly bothers you or you lose it on bright maps, switching to one of the compact pro setups is an instantly noticeable upgrade.

The best path: pick a crosshair below that resembles your current one (same style, better visibility), play a week of deathmatch and competitive with it, and resist swapping daily. Afterwards, fine-tune in the generator – the "Customize in generator" button in the large view takes you straight there. And if you want to know how your aim actually develops: the aim trainer measures your precision in the browser, and the Valorant-Spind app analyzes your real matches with kill heatmaps.

FAQ

How do I import a Valorant crosshair code?

Copy the code, open Valorant Settings → Crosshair, click the import icon next to the crosshair profiles, paste and confirm. The crosshair is active immediately – no restart needed.

Which crosshair does TenZ use?

TenZ has played a small cyan cross without outlines and without a center dot for years: 0;s;1;P;c;5;h;0;m;1;0l;4;0o;2;0a;1;0f;0;1b;0 – right at the top of the database.

What is the best crosshair color?

Cyan is the clear number one: 67% of the VCT pros in our database use it because it never appears as an environment color on any Valorant map. Green and white are solid alternatives – white ideally with an outline.

Will a pro crosshair improve my aim?

Not automatically – but a calm, clearly visible crosshair removes distraction and false feedback. What matters is sticking with your choice instead of switching daily.

Are crosshair codes allowed and safe?

Yes. Crosshair codes are an official Riot feature. They only change the look of your crosshair and have nothing to do with cheats or third-party programs.

Can I customize a crosshair from the database?

Yes – import the code and change any value in game, or paste it into our crosshair generator and adjust color, length, thickness and gap live.

Why does my crosshair spread in game but not in the preview?

Our preview shows the resting crosshair. If your lines move while running or shooting, movement/firing error is enabled – you can turn it off under Crosshair in game; in the code it's the m and f values.

How many crosshair profiles can I save?

Valorant allows up to 15 saved crosshair profiles, so you can keep several favorites from the database and switch any time.
