The picture is clear: the market has sorted itself into two price bands. At the bottom sit the collections between 5,000 and 6,000 VP (Select/Deluxe-heavy or capsules like Run It Back), above them the Premium and Ultra collections between 7,000 and 9,900 VP. Outliers are rare and almost always special formats – above all the Radiant Entertainment System of 2023, unmatched to this day at 11,900 VP.

The yearly average: 2026 is the most expensive year

For years the bundle price was remarkably stable: between 2021 and 2025 the average hovered around 6,200–6,650 VP – 2024 was even the cheapest year in Valorant history at Ø 6,234 VP. 2026 breaks that pattern: at Ø 7,135 VP across the first 18 bundles, the year sits about 9% above 2025 and 6.3% above the 2020 baseline. The reason: more big Ultra and Premium collections (Aeris 9,500, Kuronami 2.0 9,500) and fewer cheap gap fillers.

The 10 most expensive bundles of all time

Remarkable about these records: four of the ten most expensive collections come from the last 20 months – another sign of VP inflation. And with Aeris (9,500 VP, August 2026) the newest top-10 entry is only weeks old. Whether the Champions 2026 bundle (~6,640 VP according to leaks) joins this league will be decided in late September.

What does this mean for you as a buyer?

First: bundles rarely return. If you love a collection, buy it inside its two-week window or hope for a Night Market, where individual skins (never whole bundles) can appear discounted. Second: buying items individually is almost always more expensive – the package carries a built-in discount that our bundle overview lists per collection. Third: think in euros, not VP. 7,135 VP sounds abstract – about €71 does not. Records & outliers: the extremes of bundle history

167 bundles in six years – that leaves room for some remarkable records. The most expensive bundle of all time remains the Radiant Entertainment System from April 2023: 11,900 VP for the arcade collection, almost double the average bundle. Behind it sits Spectrum (September 2021) at 10,700 VP – the collection designed together with DJ and producer Zedd was the first bundle to break the 10,000 VP mark. The Ultra standard of 9,900 VP was established as early as July 2020 by Elderflame, the legendary dragon bundle and still one of the most famous collections in the game.

At the other end of the scale are the esports capsules: the VCT CN Capsules from May 2024 mark the cheapest entry in the database at 1,880 VP, with the regular VCT team capsules at 2,320 VP. The average across all 167 bundles is 6,548 VP, the median 6,992 VP – so half of all bundles cost around 7,000 VP or more. Seven bundles have reached the Ultra mark of 9,900 VP or more so far, among them Protocol 781-A (2022), Evori Dreamwings (2024), Phaseguard and ORA by OneTap (both 2025).

Price trend: is Valorant really getting more expensive?

The short answer: in 2026 yes, before that surprisingly not. From 2020 through 2025 the yearly average hovered steadily between 6,234 and 6,711 VP – measured against general price inflation, that was effectively a slow price cut. 2026 breaks the pattern: at an average of 7,135 VP per bundle (January through August), the current year is the most expensive in Valorant history, around 14 percent above the 2024 low.

The driver behind the 2026 rise is not a hidden markup on individual skins – the edition prices (875 to 2,475 VP per weapon) have been unchanged for years. What shifts is the mix: more collections in the upper editions, more big packages with knife and extras, fewer cheap Select and Deluxe bundles. For your budget that means: the individual skin has not become more expensive, but the average "must-have package" has.

Bundle vs. buying single: the math behind it

Why buy a bundle at all? Because Riot consistently prices the package below the sum of its parts. A typical Premium bundle contains four to five weapon skins, a knife and extras like a player card, spray and buddy. Priced individually: five weapons at 1,775 VP plus a knife at 3,550 VP already add up to 12,425 VP – but the bundle usually sells for around 7,100 VP. The savings sit mostly in the knife and the extras, which are heavily discounted in the package.

The most prominent example comes from the Champions series: bought piece by piece, the Champions 2025 bundle would have cost 10,175 VP; as a package it was 6,640 VP – a saving of 3,535 VP, or roughly 35 percent. Similar magnitudes apply to most event bundles. The flip side: a bundle only pays off if you actually want several skins from the collection. If you only want the Vandal, buying it solo from the shop or waiting for a Night Market discount is cheaper.

Timing your purchase: when to pull the trigger

After release, bundles usually stay in the shop for about two weeks before leaving the rotation. What many players do not know: most collections are not gone forever after that. Individual skins keep returning to the daily shop, show up in the Night Market at 10 to 47 percent off, and whole packages come back through promotions like Run It Back – most recently Run It Back V26 with the Elderflame Operator, Singularity Sheriff and RGX 11z Pro Vandal for 5,460 VP.

The important exception are the Champions bundles: they are strictly time-limited, leave the shop for good after the tournament final and never return to the Night Market either. Hesitate here and the collection is gone permanently – which makes it collector's item number one. All prices on this page come from the official Valorant API game data and document each bundle's shop launch price at release – the price buyers paid on day one. Later discounts, Night Market prices and regional currency differences are deliberately excluded so the time series stays comparable. How to read the charts correctly

A few reading aids so the diagrams above unfold their full potential. Every dot in the big history chart is a single bundle at its shop launch price – the price on day one of sale, not a later discount price. The orange line shows the yearly average and smooths out the outliers: a single 9,900 VP bundle barely lifts a year's average, a whole year of Premium packages does.

The difference between average (6,548 VP) and median (6,992 VP) matters too: the median sits higher because the many cheap esports capsules drag the average down, while the "typical" weapon bundle sits closer to 7,100 VP. So if you want to know what the next normal skin bundle should cost, the median is the more honest ballpark. The four bundle types at a glance

Not every bundle is built the same – four types shape the database:

Classic weapon bundles are the standard: four to five weapons of one design line plus a knife plus extras, priced mostly between roughly 4,300 and 9,300 VP depending on edition. They make up the large majority of the 167 entries.

Ultra and prestige collections form the top end from 9,500 VP – elaborate effects, custom soundscapes, finishers and usually a theme with special status, from Elderflame's dragons to the arcade world of the Radiant Entertainment System. Seven of them reached 9,900 VP or more.

Esports capsules are the cheapest group (1,880 to 2,320 VP): team cards, sprays and buddies around the VCT leagues, without weapon skins. They explain why the average sits below the median.

Event and tournament bundles like the Champions series tie a collection to a date. They are the only type with real scarcity – and accordingly the only bundles where "now or never" is actually true. More in the Champions Live Hub.

The key price points in euros

For quick orientation, the most common bundle price points converted at the reference rate of one cent per VP (the right-hand column in the big table uses the same formula):

Since VP only come in fixed packs, you usually pay a few euros more in reality than the converted value – a 7,100 VP bundle, for example, takes the 5,350 plus the 2,050 pack (€70), with a small VP remainder left over. Six years of bundle meta in fast forward

2020–2021: the founding years. Riot set the guardrails in the very first summer: Prime (June 2020, 7,100 VP) defined the classic Premium bundle, while Elderflame (July 2020, 9,900 VP) proved players would pay Ultra prices for a spectacle. 2021 added Spectrum (10,700 VP), the first collaboration bundle beyond the 10,000 mark.

2022–2024: the stable middle. For three years the yearly average hovered between 6,234 and 6,643 VP – despite outliers like the Radiant Entertainment System (11,900 VP, the record to this day). 2024, averaging 6,234 VP, was actually the cheapest year in the game's history.

2025–2026: the premium turn. Since 2025 the average has been climbing again, and 2026 marks the most expensive year yet at 7,135 VP – driven by more Ultra and Exclusive collections.
