Agent Mastery calculator: how many matches to level 10?

Pick an agent plus your current and target level. The calculator uses the official MP formula (seconds played × 4/3, win × 1.3) and the MP table from the Riot wiki. Bonus MP from Performance Score is not included, so your real number will usually be lower.

⚡ Quick answer

Agent Mastery replaced the Agent Gear system in patch 13.06 (September 22, 2026). For each agent you earn Mastery Points (MP) – base: seconds played × 4/3, times 1.3 on a win. Act Level 10 needs 132,400 MP and resets every new act; every Act Level also counts as a permanent Lifetime Level. From Lifetime Level 5 you buy rewards with Kingdom Credits. Everyone starts at zero.

What is Agent Mastery in Valorant?

Agent Mastery is the per-agent progression system Riot introduced with patch 13.06 on September 22, 2026. It replaces the old Agent Gear system and shows how much – and how well – you play a specific agent. Every match in a supported mode earns Mastery Points for the agent you played. They feed two parallel tracks: Act Levels, which restart every act, and Lifetime Levels, which are permanent.

Important: Riot did not carry over old progress. Every player starts with Act Level and Lifetime Level 0 on every agent – no matter how many hours you had on Jett or Sage before. According to a Riot employee in the patch 13.06 Reddit AMA, the old data could not be reconstructed accurately enough.

Mastery Points: how many MP you get per match

Mastery Points are earned in Unrated, Competitive, Swiftplay, Spike Rush, Team Deathmatch and Premier. The base is your playtime: seconds × 4/3. Win the match and a × 1.3 multiplier is added. A strong Performance Score can add bonus MP on top – Riot has not published exactly how much.

25 minutes2,000 MP2,600 MP
35 minutes2,800 MP3,640 MP
45 minutes3,600 MP4,680 MP

In other words: 25 minutes of playtime is enough for Act Level 1 (2,000 MP). Act Level 10 needs 132,400 MP in total – at 35 minutes per match and a 50% win rate that is about 42 matches or 24.5 hours.

All Act Levels and MP values (table)

Each agent has 10 main levels per act. After that you can keep overleveling – the table in the official Riot wiki goes up to Act Level 30, and from level 15 each level costs 715,000 MP. At levels 4, 7 and 10 your agent portrait gets upgraded.

Act Level vs. Lifetime Level: the difference

Rewards: every Lifetime stage and Kingdom Credits price

As soon as you reach a Lifetime Level, that stage of the agent's reward track opens. You then buy the items with Kingdom Credits, the free earnable currency. The track includes rewards from the old Agent Gear system plus new items. All stages together cost 122,500 Kingdom Credits per agent.

The Agent ID: what you can show off

New is the Agent ID, a kind of business card per agent. It shows your Lifetime Mastery Level and up to three stats of your choice, plus backgrounds, poses, frames and quotes you unlock through the reward track. Unlocked from the start are the Standard Background, Standard Pose, Level I Frame and the stats Act Level 10 Achieved, Assists, Damage, Games Won, Hours Played and Kills.

In game you find everything in the Agents tab: pick an agent and open the mastery view.

5 tips to level Agent Mastery faster

  1. Longer modes give more per match. MP depend on playtime – a long Competitive or Unrated match gives more than a short Spike Rush. Per minute it is the same.
  2. Wins pay twice: +30% MP from the win multiplier.
  3. Performance counts: Riot gives bonus MP for strong performances. We explain separately how to raise your Performance Score.
  4. One main per act: since Act Levels reset, it pays to push one main agent to level 10 before the act ends.
  5. Plan your Kingdom Credits: all rewards of one agent cost 122,500 KC in total – decide first which items matter to you.
