Crosshair finder
Answer three short questions – we recommend one of the seven codes below, with a preview and a copy button.
What matters most to you?
How do you usually shoot?
How long have you been playing?
The most common pro code is the white dot 0;P;o;1;d;1;0b;0;1b;0 (21 of 245 VCT pros). The most common cross is the compact plus 0;P;h;0;0l;4;0o;0;0a;1;0f;0;1b;0 (8 pros, including aspas). What almost all pro crosshairs share: outer lines off, firing error off, thin and short lines.
Each card shows the crosshair in the preview, the full code and who it suits. All pro codes come from our pro crosshair database; the learning crosshair is our own template.
21 of the 245 VCT pros play exactly this code – more than any other. Clear view of the head, ideal for tapping with Vandal, Sheriff and Guardian.
0;P;o;1;d;1;0b;0;1b;0Eight VCT pros such as aspas (MIBR) and Jamppi play exactly this code: line length 4, thickness 2, no gap, no outline, firing error off. A clean all-rounder.
0;P;h;0;0l;4;0o;0;0a;1;0f;0;1b;0Length 3 with offset 2 – six VCT pros such as stax and xenom use exactly this code. The gap keeps the head visible in the middle, the lines still give orientation.
0;P;h;0;f;0;0l;3;0o;2;0a;1;0f;0;1b;0A small cyan cross with offset 1 – the way TenZ has played for years. Cyan stands out strongly on most maps and is the second most common pro color after white.
0;s;1;P;c;5;o;0;f;0;0l;2;0v;2;0g;1;0o;1;0a;1;0f;0;1b;0Short lines plus a center dot – the code of ZmjjKK (EDward Gaming). 23 of the 245 VCT pros combine a cross and a dot. Good if a pure dot gives you too little to hold on to.
0;P;h;0;d;1;f;0;0l;2;0v;2;0g;1;0o;1;0f;0;1b;0Four VCT pros – artzin and Shyy (FURIA), Kyu (M80), neT (FlyQuest) – play exactly this black plus. Extremely clear on bright walls and sand, weaker in dark corners.
0;P;c;8;u;000000FF;h;0;b;1;0l;4;0o;0;0a;1;0f;0;1b;0Our template for beginners: the lines spread when you move or shoot. That way you see instantly whether you were standing still when you fired. Pros almost always turn this off.
0;P;h;0;0l;4;0o;2;0a;1;0m;1;1b;0Many pros don’t just play similar crosshairs – they play exactly identical ones. We compared the primary part of all 245 codes. The result: the ten most common codes cover 70 pros together – almost one in three. The table shows them with previews and example players.

| 10 | Large dot (thickness 3)0;P;o;1;d;1;z;3;f;0;0b;0;1b;0 | 4 | Kai, gobera, Dingwei |
Notable: the top 10 contain four dots and six crosses, but not a single crosshair with outer lines. The part f;0 appears in many codes but doesn’t change how the crosshair looks in the preview.
Our database tracks 62 pros at the world championship in Shanghai. More than half play a cross, a quarter a pure dot.
Whole teams lean towards one style: on Nongshim RedForce four pros play a dot; on Team Vitality, Chronicle, Derke and Jamppi aim with a cross while PROFEK and Sayonara use a dot. On Paper Rex, f0rsakeN and something play a white cross, Jinggg a cyan one. The full codes of all 16 Champions teams are in the pro crosshair database.
For this page we decoded the crosshair codes of all 245 VCT pros in our database and counted them setting by setting. Values marked * refer to the 183 pros who use inner lines at all.
The picture is clear: pros play small, simple and without dynamics. Outer lines are off for 88%, firing error for almost 97%. For inner lines, thickness is usually 2 and length between 2 and 4 – the most common values are length 3 (59 pros), 4 (46) and 2 (42). Offset splits the field: 70 pros play an offset of 2, 62 no offset at all.
| Code part | Setting | Common among pros |
|---|---|---|
c | Color (0–7 preset, 8 custom) | 0 white, 5 cyan |
h / o | Outline on/off and opacity | off or opacity 1 |
d / z | Center dot on and thickness | Dot: thickness 2 |
0l | Inner line length | 2–4 |
0t | Inner line thickness | 2 (default) |
0o | Offset from the center | 0–2 |
0a | Inner line opacity | 1 |
0f / 0m | Firing and movement error | both off |
1b | Outer lines on/off | off |
If you want to adjust a code without memorising it: in the Crosshair Generator you set every line with sliders, the crosshair color codes put a new color into your code, and the Crosshair Twin tells you which pro plays most like you.
Your primary crosshair applies to every weapon without a scope. Still, it is worth keeping your favorite weapon in mind when you choose a style:
Small and precise: a short plus or a dot. The one-tap headshot at any range demands an exact target.
A cross with lines gives orientation when spraying. Firing error can help here as a learning aid.
Dot or very small cross – the revolver lives almost entirely on headshots.
At short range the crosshair can be a little larger so you find it in hectic moments.
Precise single shots: a dot or a cross with a gap so the head stays visible.
The default pistol with a right-click fire mode. A small cross suits both modes.
No code replaces practice. The crosshair helps you aim at heads cleanly – placement and your aim make the difference. Our Aim Trainer helps with that right in your browser.
At first glance a crosshair code looks like gibberish, but it follows a simple pattern: always a key followed by its value, separated by semicolons. Take the most common pro cross code, played by aspas among others: 0;P;h;0;0l;4;0o;0;0a;1;0f;0;1b;0.
Anything not in the code stays at its default – for example the color white and line thickness 2. That is why many pro codes are so short. Once you understand this logic, you can read and deliberately change every code in our database.
You export your finished crosshair in the crosshair settings with the export icon – Valorant copies the code to your clipboard. Save it somewhere safe, such as a note. That way you have it back in seconds after a reinstall or on another PC and can share it with your team.
Especially at the start, the choice is overwhelming. Our advice: don’t start with special cases, start with a proven pro standard. The compact plus or the white dot are ideal starting points. If you notice you lack orientation when spraying, switch to the cross with a gap or try our learning crosshair with movement and firing error for a week.
The analysis of 245 VCT pros is clear: the typical pro crosshair is small, white or cyan, static and without outer lines. The most common single code is a dot, the most common cross a compact plus without a gap.
Take one of the seven codes above as a starting point – the crosshair finder gets you there fastest. Stick with it for a week and then adjust deliberately. More choice is in the dot crosshair codes, the crosshair color codes and the full pro database.
There is no single best one. Pros most often play the white dot 0;P;o;1;d;1;0b;0;1b;0 (21 of 245 VCT pros) and the compact plus 0;P;h;0;0l;4;0o;0;0a;1;0f;0;1b;0 (8 pros, including aspas).
A simple cross: 154 of the 245 VCT pros play a cross without a center dot, 68 a pure dot and 23 a combination of both. 88% turn off the outer lines.
Almost all pros do: 177 of 183 VCT pros with inner lines have it off. For beginners it can be a useful learning aid because it shows when a shot becomes inaccurate.
Copy the code, open Settings → Crosshair in Valorant, click the import icon next to your profiles, paste the code and confirm.
A small cross with a gap or our learning crosshair with movement and firing error. More important than the perfect code is sticking with it for a few days and working on crosshair placement.
Of the 62 Champions players we track, 36 play a cross, 16 a dot and 10 a combination of cross and dot (as of our database).
Very few: 216 of 245 VCT pros have outer lines turned off – that is 88%.
Not on its own. A good crosshair helps with placement, but aim, positioning and game sense decide. What matters is finding a crosshair you feel comfortable with and sticking with it.
Most pros play length 2 to 4: length 3 is used by 59, length 4 by 46 and length 2 by 42 of the 183 VCT pros with inner lines. Longer lines cover more of the target.
That is a matter of taste. 70 pros play an offset of 2, 62 no offset at all. With an offset the head stays visible in the middle; without one you get a compact plus.
With white and bright colors, yes – the dark outline creates contrast. Overall, just over half of VCT pros have a visible outline, 128 of 245.
