How to cite Valorant-Spind.de correctly

  1. Take the figure: Keep the figure together with what it refers to, e.g. “43% of 2026 bundles”, not just “43%”.
  2. Name the source: Write “Valorant-Spind.de” and link the specific page, not just the homepage, so your readers can find the methodology.
  3. Add the date: Prices and distributions change with every release and every act. The date keeps your statement accurate a year from now.
  4. Video and social: In videos, an on-screen “Source: Valorant-Spind.de” plus a link in the description is enough; on Reddit or Discord, a link in the post.

You can use the templates below as they are. “Copy text” gives you the sentence plus source URL for body text, scripts and video descriptions; “Copy HTML” gives you the finished link for blogs, forums and wikis.

Terms of use: free to use with a source link

Our figures, tables, analyses and the CSV file are meant to be reused. To keep things fair for everyone, a few simple rules apply:

You may

  • Use figures and tables in articles, videos, streams, podcasts, wikis, Reddit and Discord posts or school projects
  • Build and publish your own charts from the CSV
  • Embed the stat card and restyle it
  • Translate or round values, as long as the meaning stays the same

Please don’t

  • Publish our data without a visible link to Valorant-Spind.de
  • Present our figures as official Riot Games data
  • Redistribute skin images, logos, agent artwork or rank icons from our pages – those are Riot assets
  • Copy entire pages or texts instead of citing the data

The images on our pages come from the official game data and belong to Riot Games. Their use is governed not by our rules but by Riot’s – see Riot’s fan content policy “Legal Jibber Jabber”. Valorant-Spind.de is an unofficial fan site and is not affiliated with Riot Games, as the footer of every page says: “Unofficial fan tool · Not endorsed by Riot Games”. Valorant is a trademark of Riot Games, Inc.

Two datasets are based mainly on third-party data: the rank distribution comes from esportstales, and we cross-checked the pro crosshair codes against prosettings.net (Champions rosters per VLR.gg). When you quote these figures, include the original source in your credit. “Valorant in Numbers” is explicitly licensed under CC BY 4.0; Riot images and trademarks are excluded.

Methodology and freshness: how we maintain the data

Every dataset has a fixed basis and a visible date. When something changes – a new bundle, a new act, a patch – we update the page and set a new date. The table shows what the figures are based on:

Sources and dates of the datasets (as of Oct 10, 2026)

Two principles guide how we maintain the data. First, we keep our own counts clearly separate from third-party data: anything we counted from game data ourselves is labeled as a Valorant-Spind analysis, and third-party data carries its source. Second, we never present estimates as facts – Riot, for example, publishes no rank distribution and only rarely shares player numbers, so for topics like these we always state where a figure comes from. Act VI starts on October 14, 2026 with a new ranked season; we’ll update the distribution once reliable new data is available.

How much players actually spend on skins is put into context in our skin spending analysis.

Contact for press, questions and corrections

Need a figure that isn’t listed here, some context for your article, or spotted a mistake? You’ll find all contact options in our legal notice. We apply corrections on the data page in question and update its date there, so it stays clear which version you cited. You don’t need to register or ask permission to use the data – but we’re always happy to hear where our figures were published.

Verdict: citing Valorant data in three steps

All Valorant-Spind.de datasets are free to use: take the figure, link the specific source page, add the date. Use the templates for quick quotes, the CSV with 170 bundles for your own analysis and the stat card for your website.

Riot assets such as skin images stay out of it, and third-party data like the rank distribution is cited together with its original source. For questions, use the contact details in our legal notice.

Frequently asked questions about our Valorant data

Can I use the Valorant data in a video?

Yes. You can use all figures and tables in YouTube videos, Shorts, streams and podcasts. Show “Source: Valorant-Spind.de” on screen and put the link to the specific data page in the video description. Skin images and other Riot assets are excluded; Riot’s fan content rules apply to those.

How do I cite Valorant-Spind.de correctly?

Give the figure with what it refers to, “Valorant-Spind.de” as the source with a link to the specific page, and the data date. Example: “According to an analysis by Valorant-Spind.de, 43% of the Valorant bundles released in 2026 cost 8,000 VP or more (as of October 10, 2026).” Ready-made sentences and HTML links are in the citation templates on this page.

How often is the data updated?

It depends on the dataset: we update the price report and bundle prices after every new bundle release, “Valorant in Numbers” with every patch, and the rank distribution once reliable data for a new act is available. Every data page shows its current date.

Do I need to ask for permission first?

No. Use is free and allowed without asking, as long as a visible link to the source page is included. We are still happy to hear where our figures were published – the contact options are in our legal notice.

Can I use skin images from Valorant-Spind.de?

Not through us. Skin images, logos, agent artwork and rank icons belong to Riot Games. Whether and how you may use them is governed by Riot’s “Legal Jibber Jabber” policy on riotgames.com.

Where do the Valorant statistics on Valorant-Spind.de come from?

We count bundle prices and game content from the game data via valorant-api.com; VP prices are based on Riot’s official announcements and checked store prices. The rank distribution comes from esportstales, and the pro crosshair codes are cross-checked with prosettings.net. Riot itself does not publish a rank distribution.

How do I open the bundle price CSV in Excel?

The file is comma-separated and UTF-8 encoded. If your Excel uses a semicolon as list separator, import it via “Data → From Text/CSV” and choose “Comma” as the delimiter; otherwise everything ends up in one column. Google Sheets, LibreOffice and Python read it directly.

Is Valorant-Spind.de an official Riot site?

No. Valorant-Spind.de is an unofficial fan site and is not endorsed by Riot Games. Our analyses are our own counts, not official Riot data.
