Who plays for whom? Especially during a big event, many players look up Valorant teams and their rosters – the five players a team sends onto the map and the coach behind them. This overview shows all 16 teams at VALORANT Champions 2026 exactly as they played in Shanghai. We checked every series of the event map by map: every team fielded the same five players on every map at Champions, with no substitutions. On top of that you get the region, group, qualification path and current standing in the event.

The VCT is split into four international leagues: Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Pacific and China. Each region sends four teams to Champions. Two spots go to the two Stage 2 finalists, two more to the teams with the most Championship Points over the season.
| Region | Stage 2 champion | Stage 2 runner-up | via Championship Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Americas | 100 Thieves | LOUD | NRG, G2 Esports |
| EMEA | Karmine Corp | Team Liquid | Team Vitality, FUT Esports |
| Pacific | Global Esports | Nongshim RedForce | T1, Paper Rex |
| China | TYLOO | JD Gaming | EDward Gaming, Xi Lai Gaming |
Worth noting: all four Chinese teams went out in the group stage of their home event. Americas, on the other hand, sent all four of its teams into the playoffs and still has four of the six remaining teams.
According to their vlr.gg profiles, the 80 starters come from 26 countries. South Korea is the most represented with 12 players, followed by the United States and China with 11 each, then Türkiye and Russia with six each. Many teams are international mixes: at Karmine Corp, players from Egypt, Türkiye, Kazakhstan and the United States play together, and Paper Rex fields players from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Russia.
T1 and Nongshim RedForce (five South Koreans each) and FUT Esports (five players from Türkiye) field lineups entirely from one country. At G2 Esports, four players are from the United States, while jawgemo’s vlr profile lists Cambodia. We show nationality exactly as listed on each vlr.gg profile; for SUYGETSU (Karmine Corp) vlr lists no country but “international”.
A roster is a team’s squad. In Valorant, five players are always on the map at once, usually backed by a substitute and a coaching staff with a head coach and assistants. For international events like Champions, teams register their squad in advance. Roles – duelist, initiator, controller and sentinel – are spread depending on the map and strategy. Want to build a good lineup yourself? Try our team comp builder.
We deliberately leave substitutes out of the overview. Some teams have substitutes listed on vlr.gg, but none of them played at Champions, and whether they were officially registered could not be verified with certainty. That is why we only show the five players who played every map.
