Who is Hush in VALORANT?

Hush is VALORANT’s new Duelist – an agent from Guangdong, China, who fights with telekinesis. Riot revealed her on October 18, 2026 in the cinematic trailer “RISE AND FALL”, just before the Champions Shanghai grand final. Until then the community knew her as “Agent 31”.

Her kit is built around control from a distance: Hush picks up weapons and the Spike from an increased range, steers her grenades with her crosshair after throwing them, pulls enemies together with an explosion and leaves them floating with her ultimate Suspension. On top of that, Flow is a movement ability that propels her to an anchor she sets herself. That makes her a Duelist who doesn’t just hunt enemies down but rips them out of their positions.

As of October 18, 2026: Hush has been revealed but is not playable yet. Riot’s trailer says “Season 26 // Act VI”, and several outlets (including Dexerto, Dot Esports and Forbes) consistently report October 27, 2026 as the release date. She is not in the game data (Valorant API) yet, so values like costs, charges or ultimate points don’t exist yet. We’ll add them as soon as the patch notes are out.

This page covers everything that is confirmed so far: the profile, all five abilities, the official trailer, the release status and first tips derived straight from her kit. What the rumors looked like before the reveal and which leaks turned out right is covered in our Agent 31 fact check.

Abilities

All of Hush’s abilities explained

Like every agent, Hush has a passive, two basic abilities, a signature ability and an ultimate. The names are the official English ones. Reports differ on the keybinds for Flow and Flashbulb (C or Q) – we’ll add them as soon as Riot publishes the kit in the client or on playvalorant.com.

Passive

Telekinesis

Pick up weapons and the Spike and use switches – from an increased range.

Basic

Flow

Instantly creates an anchor; after a short delay Hush is propelled to it.

Basic

Flashbulb

A steerable flash that blinds everyone looking at it.

E

Displacement

Signature: an explosion that pulls players to its center – colliding concusses them.

X

Suspension

Ultimate: a steerable wave that levitates every player in the area when detonated.

Telekinesis – the passive

Telekinesis is Hush’s passive and always active: she can pick up weapons and the Spike from an increased range and interact with switches from an increased range. It sounds minor, but it changes small situations: you can grab a weapon lying in the open without stepping into a firing line, and you can pick up the Spike more safely after the carrier goes down. Riot hasn’t given exact ranges yet.

Flow – the anchor dash

Flow lets Hush instantly create an anchor. After a short delay she is propelled toward that anchor. If she is airborne when she uses it, she briefly levitates in place first. That makes Flow her movement and entry tool: you can prepare an angle and then enter the fight from an unexpected direction. Because the movement only starts after the delay, Flow needs good timing – much like other abilities that need setup, such as Yoru’s Gatecrash.

Flashbulb – the steerable flash

Flashbulb is a flash grenade. You throw it with fire or prepare it with alt fire. Reactivating it sends it toward your crosshair. It explodes on impact or after a delay and flashes every player looking at it. Being steerable makes it more flexible than a regular thrown flash: you can bend it around a corner instead of throwing it blind over a wall – comparable to Skye’s Guiding Light.

Displacement E – the signature

Displacement is Hush’s signature ability. It is also thrown or prepared and can be steered toward your crosshair by reactivating it. On impact or after a delay it explodes and pulls players to its center. Anyone who collides with a surface or another player while being pulled is concussed. The charge resets every two kills. The pull is reminiscent of Astra’s Gravity Well – with Hush you get the concuss on collision on top, and as a Duelist she’s exactly the one who jumps in afterwards.

Suspension X – the ultimate

Suspension is prepared instantly. Firing sends the telekinetic wave forward, and you steer it with your crosshair. Reactivating it or firing again detonates it and levitates every player in the area. Floating enemies can’t move and dodge as usual – a moment your team can use to clean up. According to the kit text the wave hits “all players”, so keep your own teammates out of it.

Ability descriptions based on Riot’s kit text as published by Dot Esports, Dexerto and Strafe on October 18, 2026. Numbers (costs, charges, durations, ultimate points) will follow with the patch notes.

Trailer

The official Hush trailer “RISE AND FALL”

Riot introduced Hush with a cinematic trailer. In its description Riot calls her a “reality-bending Duelist” from Guangdong and announces her for Season 26, Act VI. Three days earlier, on October 15, the teaser “FINAL WORD” had already aired.

Release

When is Hush coming to Valorant?

Officially Riot only says “Season 26 // Act VI” – the current Act 6, which started on October 14, 2026 and runs until January 6, 2027 (all dates: new act & dates). Several outlets consistently report October 27, 2026; a few sites name October 28, which can be the same patch day depending on the time zone. Riot hasn’t named a patch number yet.

How you will unlock Hush – with Kingdom Credits, Valorant Points or a recruitment event – hasn’t been announced either. As soon as the patch notes are out, we’ll add the unlock, the values and the official ability icons from the game data here. Until then the Valorant API still shows 29 playable agents; with Hush it becomes 30.

Tip: Whatever Riot officially changes at release, you’ll find it first in our patch notes. Which agents are played the most right now is shown in the agent pick rates.
Tips

Playing Hush: first tips from her kit

Before release, nobody outside Riot has played Hush in a real match. The following tips are therefore derived directly from the official ability descriptions – not from patch values or pro experience.

1. Pull first, then entry. Displacement pulls enemies together and concusses them on collision. Throw it into a corner or against a box that defenders are holding behind and go in right after – that way you use the moment they are disoriented.

2. Steer Flashbulb around corners. Because you can steer the flash toward your crosshair after throwing it, you don’t have to stand in the open for an entry. Guide it over the edge into the space you want to take and move with the detonation.

3. Use Flow for surprise angles. Place the anchor so you arrive from a direction the enemy isn’t holding – for example sideways onto a raised position. Mind the delay: if you react too late, you’re exposed while you wait.

4. Kills feed Displacement. Your signature resets every two kills. The more successful your entry, the more often you can tear the next group apart – a typical Duelist principle, much like with Neon or Jett.

5. Place Suspension cleanly. The ultimate levitates every player in the area. Send it into an enemy group, but keep your teammates out of it so they can shoot the floating enemies freely.

Roster

Hush in the roster: the ninth Duelist

With Hush there are nine Duelists: Jett, Phoenix, Raze, Reyna, Yoru, Neon, Iso, Waylay and now Hush. That keeps Duelist the biggest role in the game. What sets Hush apart is the mix of crowd control and mobility: she pulls enemies together, concusses them on collision and levitates them with her ultimate – effects you would normally expect from Controllers and Initiators.

At Champions 2026 the most-played Duelists were Neon (65% of team compositions) and Yoru (31%); in ranked (Platinum+, patch 13.08) Jett (23.6% pick rate) and Reyna (19.3%) lead. Whether Hush changes that will only show after release – we’ll then add her to our tier list and the pick rates.

Agent 31

From “Agent 31” to Hush: how the reveal happened

Just like with Veto in 2025, Riot used the Champions final as the stage for its new agent. There were hints beforehand: on October 10 Riot showed a first image of the agent on Weibo to promote a pop-up café in Shanghai, on October 15 the teaser “FINAL WORD” followed, and on October 18 the reveal trailer. Leaks had already named the Duelist role and her Chinese origin – both turned out right. Other rumors, such as an ability that copies teammates’ abilities, did not show up in the official kit.
